Attention Westcreek Resident –
Harris County MUD 264 is launching a project to implement sewer repairs throughout Westcreek. While a condition assessment of the sanitary sewer system indicates much of the system is in good shape and performing as required, the system is 40 years old. Repairs are needed throughout the community. Repair work is expected to start in fourth quarter, 2026 and could continue for at least 18 months.
What you can expect:
- For most residents, nothing other than more truck traffic than normal.
- For others – where repairs need to be made (either in your yard or to a sewer main that serves your property)
- Construction crews may need access to your yard – as that’s where the sewer pipes are located. All sewer pipes are located either in the street rights-of-way or within a utility easement. You should be aware of the easement in your yard and have taken steps to keep the area clear, for events such as this.
- You will receive a 2-week prior and two-to-three-day before door hanger to notify you of the date work is scheduled to occur in your area.
- Restraining or relocating pets and unlocking gate is required while the Construction crews need access to your backyard.
- Fences may be temporarily removed. Temporary fencing will be utilized until such time as the fence can be reinstalled.
- Holes may be dug to enable access to sewer lines for repairs. In the event a hole is not backfilled the same day as it’s dug, the area around the hole will be secured for safety and back filled as soon as possible. The Contractor will return, usually around 2 weeks following backfill of the dig locations, to check for and address any significant signs of ground settlement of the work area.
- Any grass that is removed as part of the repair work will be replaced. The contractor is not responsible for restoring anything other than grass and irrigation systems that may be damaged while doing the repair work.

At this time, we do not have a detailed schedule indicating when the repair work will occur at each repair site in Westcreek. Affected residents will be notified, via a door hanger, approximately two weeks before work is scheduled for your area and then two-to-three days in advance of work impacting you. Please refer to www.hcmud264.org often for the latest schedule and status updates on the project.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we begin this project. We understand and appreciate the inconvenience that this work may cause for many of our residents. However, we’re confident you will agree that a proactive repair program is better than reactive approaches such as a “wait-and-fix” approach or emergency response repairs due to sewer line failures that often result in issues such as blockages, overflows, and sewage backups into residences.
